Dieser aufschlussreiche Dokumentarfilm von Regisseur Philippe Kohly untersucht das bewegte Leben der berühmten Sopranistin Maria Callas, von ihrer unruhigen Kindheit in New York City bis zu ihrer skandalreichen, aber triumphalen internationalen Opernkarriere. Mit Archivinterviews mit Callas selbst und Filmmaterial von Zeitgenossen wie ihrem Geliebten Aristoteles Onassis zollt diese Feier von „La Divina“ ihrem bleibenden Vermächtnis etwa drei Jahrzehnte nach ihrem Tod Tribut.
