Gary Owens
Gary Owens (geboren als Gary Bernard Altman; 10. Mai 1934 – 12. Februar 2015) war ein US-amerikanischer Discjockey, Synchronsprecher, Radiosprecher und Entertainer. Seine sonore Baritonstimme trug meist trockenen Unsinn vor, was er häufig als Ansager in Rowan & Martins „Laugh-In“ unter Beweis stellte. Owens beherrschte sowohl ernste als auch komische Rollen und war regelmäßig im Fernsehen, Radio und in Werbespots zu hören.
Neben seiner Tätigkeit als Ansager bei „Laugh-In“ war er vor allem als Stimme des Superhelden „Space Ghost“ und des Blue Falcon in „Dynomutt, Dog Wonder“ bekannt. 1998 hatte er einen Gastauftritt in „Space Ghost Coast to Coast“. Owens' erste Sprechrolle in einem Zeichentrickfilm war die von Roger Ramjet in den „Roger Ramjet“-Cartoons. Später war er die Stimme des terrestrischen Fernsehsenders Antenna TV.
