Am 12. März 2003 erhielt er einen Stern auf dem Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Als Anlehnung an seine Kindheitserlebnisse ist 2005 die Serie Alle hassen Chris entstanden, bei der er auch als Erzähler mitwirkte.
