William B. Davidson
William B. Davidson (16. Juni 1888 – 28. September 1947) war ein US-amerikanischer Filmschauspieler.
Davidson besuchte die Columbia University, wo er Football spielte und zu einem beliebten Footballstar avancierte. Dieser Ruhm führte ihn schließlich zum Film, nachdem er einige Zeit als Anwalt tätig gewesen war. Er begann seine Filmkarriere 1914 bei Vitagraph und spielte an der Seite bekannter Bühnen- und Filmschauspielerinnen wie Ethel Barrymore, Mabel Taliaferro, Charlotte Walker, Olga Petrova, Viola Dana, June Caprice, Edna Goodrich und Mae West. Zwischen 1915 und 1949 wirkte er in 318 Filmen mit.
Er wurde in Dobbs Ferry, New York, geboren und starb in Santa Monica, Kalifornien. Sein erster Hollywood-Film war „For the Honor of the Crew“. Danach spielte er in zahlreichen Filmen mit; seine bekannteste Rolle war wohl die des Schiffskapitäns in „The Most Dangerous Game“.
